SF screw

The Steel Frame screw is a newly developed screw that serves as a system component for fastening the GIP Isotherm® in metal structures. In combination with the stainless steel rod, this system is patented and protected for you. The self-tapping SF screw serves as a wall bracket and anchor at the same time, enabling a façade project to be optimized in terms of material consumption and installation times. It provides the basis for anchoring the substructure, which subsequently supports the façade cladding.

1. the SF screw is screwed into the steel cassettes according to the installation plan. This is done with an internal hexagon.
2. the protruding threaded head (M8) with its sealing washer serves as an anchoring point and subsequently bears the loads of the system
3. the wing wall bracket (FWH) is screwed on and serves as a fastening element for the profiles, with a clamping spring that provides a temporary hold. If insulation is required, any length of stainless steel Isotherm® tube is screwed on by hand. The profiles are fixed with the clamping spring.
4 The project-specific profiles are connected to the FWH according to the installation plan and designed as a fixed point or sliding point.

Application example

An industrial hall that was planned and built in 1985 does not meet the visual requirements of the new owner. To give it a new look and increase its market value, a VHF is installed directly into the insulated steel cassettes thanks to SF from GIP
