Individuality in facade construction
In 2012, GIP Fassade played a key role in redesigning the building envelope of the Lessing-Gymnasium grammar school in Hoyerswerda. The facade elements were created by the architects as a free form design. The unusual shape of the 450 m² ventilated curtain wall required a special type of substructure – in this case the system VECO-A-1030 with an insulation thickness of 160 mm. The architects and owners selected cladding panels made from high pressure laminate. The flowing forms and warm colours create a comfortable, welcoming environment for pupils and teachers alike.
